I just found out about Blitsy: a website that sells craft, planner and art supplies at discount prices. I fell in love with it, and now I just can’t stop talking about it.
Maybe I’m late, maybe US planner nerds and crafters already know everything about it, but even though I follow lots of planner people, I’ve never heard about Blitsy before. That’s why I thought it was worth sharing my enthusiasm about this website with you in case you don’t know it yet! If that’s your case, read on and be prepared to add this shop to your favorites 🙂
Just so you know, it’s possible that my fervent enthusiasm is due to the fact that the range of planner and craft supplies is pretty limited in France (and it seems to be about as bad for the rest of Europe). Plus, european prices for said supplies are always higher than the US retail prices.
Also, I’d like to say that this IS NOT a sponsored post. I mean all the positive things I’ve said. This article contains affiliate links though.
Here’s a list of reasons why, in my opinion, Blitsy is planners’ paradise.
Reason 1. Craft & planner supplies at a discount price
I’m a crafter, therefore I hoard. I love finding cool, new things and I love good deals. Blitsy combines both by selling the coolest craft supplies at discount prices. They have a big range of craft items which is great when you like all types of crafting on top of planning:
- Art Supplies
- Sewing & Quilting
- Knitting & Crochet
For instance, for my first order, in addition to my Happy Planner and MAMBI accessories, I got myself watercolors and a masking fluid marker (that I will use with the watercolors).
But since this is a planners blog, I made a little collage with the type of items that the planner-geek inside you is gonna love: planners, planner accessories from awesome brands, stamps, washi tape, pens, markers…
Reason 2. Daily sales
On top of the products sold on the website, every day, new sales arrive on Blitsy. You get 4 days to shop a specific type of product or brand. For example I got my Happy Planner in a Me and My Big Ideas special sale.
If you like planners, right now, there is also a special sale for Webster Pages and Simple Stories Carpe Diem planner products. That’s why you need to act fast if you see something you like.
Reason 3. 10$ off your first order
If, after reading this article you place your first order on Blitsy, you’ll get 10$ off your grand total! I included referral links in this article, which means that if you click on them you’ll be able to get 10$ off if it’s your first order and if you spend more than 40$.
Blitsy accepts Michaels, Joanns and Hobby Lobby coupons, which means you can get 40% off one item. But this reduction applies to the original ticketed price (not the Blitsy discount price) so there’s no need in using it on products that already have more than a 40% discount.
Reason 5. Cheap international shipping
European crafters, finally, there is an American craft website with cheap international shipping
First I only added the Hello Life Happy Planner to my cart and decided I should simulate a checkout to see how expensive the shipping was going to be before browsing the whole website. I was honestly expecting to be disappointed, see an outrageous shipping price (it’s almost always the case on a US website), and say farewell to this website and go on with my life.
But, nothing like that happened. The shipping price was 9$, which for international shipping was pretty good. Reassured, I then kept looking and added a few more items that I
wanted needed. The shipping price was now about 11$ (still good, right?). The shipping price adjusts itself depending on how many items you buy, and that, mes amis, is good news!
Update: I didn’t have to pay any custom fee upon receiving! Yay for that! I ordered on the 21st of august, Blitsy shipped on the 27th of august and i received it in France on the 8th of september.
Here’s what I grabbed:
Reason 6. Free shipping on US orders over 50$
If you live in US and spend over 50$ you can get free shipping with the code FREESHIPPING at checkout.
Reason 7. Inspiration and DIY ideas shared on their blog
Blitsy blog shares example of DIY you can create with their supplies. Perfect when you need to come up with an excuse to justify more and more craft supplies.
I think this sums up pretty well all the reasons why I fell in love with Blitsy at first click. Let me know if you do too! Or, if you knew it already, let me know if you have the same opinion 🙂
