When everything around you seems to have changed, it’s often comforting to keep some traditions alive. I hope this set of “First Day of School Quarantine Signs” will help you do just that.

Even though this year has taken an unexpected turn and that a lot of children will still be forced to distance learning or homeschooling this fall you can still photograph and document your little ones (and not so little ones) “first day of school”, or at least, what was supposed to be their first day of school this school year.

I’ve included all grades from Preschool to Senior Year in this PDF (& SVG files).

Many of you liked and downloaded these Last Day Of School Quarantine Signs this spring/summer.
Several persons requested SVG files so I made sure to include 2 types of files this time around: PDF (to print your sign) and SVG (if you want to use with a cutting machine, such as Silhouette or Cricut, to create a custom T-Shirt for example). Both formats are for Personal Use Only. You can download the files further down this page.

To turn these designs into a customized t-shirt you’ll need an electronic cutting machine (such as Silhouette or Cricut), a blank T-Shirt, and Iron-On Vinyl.

I was hoping that things would be different a few months later, that today’s printable wouldn’t be needed anymore and that all children could go back to school “normally”. Sadly it appears likely that, depending on where you live, your children may not be able, or willing, to go back to class physically this fall. Back to school dates are different depending on where you live so I decided to share this printable early.

This printable is specially designed with the current circumstances in mind: hand sanitizer, face mask, virus, and toilet paper rolls! I tried to keep the message and design light and “funny” (“First day of ..grade.. still quarantined”), because sometimes if you don’t laugh you cry. Plus, let’s be honest, we’re living crazy times that are worth documenting.

Once you’ve downloaded the file (further down this page), you can simply pick and print the page or pages you need.

I’ve opted for a black & white design, both gender-neutral and simple. I hope you like it! Plus, this design is pretty ink economic if that’s something you’re concerned about.

I like printing this type of project on Cardstock Paper: I use Neenah Bright White Premium Cardstock on Amazon, because it’s thick (65lb), smooth and inexpensive. But even regular copy paper can do.
