If you’ve spent any time on TikTok, Pinterest or Instagram over the past few years, you’ve probably seen the colorful letter bead trend everywhere.

The trend brought those nostalgic little alphabet beads back into the spotlight. And I have to admit, I love the look!

So when I was thinking about a cute birthday banner, I thought: why not turn that friendship-bracelet aesthetic into party decor?

That’s how this “In My Birthday Era” banner came about. 🎂✨

The phrase itself also fits perfectly with the whole “era” idea that became so closely associated with Taylor’s Eras Tour, while still being completely usable for anyone’s birthday, whether they’re a Swiftie or not.

Make your own “In My Birthday Era” party banner

This printable includes the letters and colorful bead designs you need to create the phrase: IN MY BIRTHDAY ERA

Simply print the pages, cut out the individual bead pieces, and turn them into a cute hanging banner for your birthday celebration.

You can attach the beads to a piece of string, ribbon or twine using tape, glue, or another method that works for you. I personally just like using tape or even washi tape, on the back of each bead.

Then hang your finished banner on a wall, above a dessert table, behind a party table, or anywhere you want to add a little birthday decoration!

How to make the printable birthday banner

You don’t need much to make this decoration.

You’ll need:

• The free printable
• A printer
• Paper or cardstock
• Scissors
• String, ribbon or twine
• Tape or glue

Step 1: Download the printable

Step 2: Print

Print the pages on regular paper or cardstock.

I recommend cardstock if you want your banner to be a little sturdier and reusable.

Step 3: Cut out the beads

Carefully cut around each individual letter bead and decorative bead.

Step 4: Assemble your banner

There are a few different ways you can assemble your banner.

You can:

• Tape the beads directly onto a piece of string
• Glue them onto ribbon or twine
• Punch small holes and thread the string through

Arrange the pieces in order to spell: IN MY BIRTHDAY ERA

Step 5: Hang it up!

Hang your finished banner on a wall, above your dessert table, over a doorway, behind your party table, or anywhere else that needs a little birthday sparkle. 🎂✨
